This elephant was just sitting outside a gas station in Michigan. Inside the station were stickers of the pink elephant for 25 cents each. I don’t think anything could have made this stop better.

About an hour into South Dakota we saw the sculpture park from the road. We had been to a different sculpture park five months ago, and could not pass this one up. All I can say is it was one of the scariest two hours of my life. We all left running away screaming.

The prairie dogs had “the plague,” so after our trip to the Bad Lands the entire group was tested for it. None of us had it, but before we were tested we used the phrase “So I might have the black plague, no big deal” as much as possible since we knew we would never be able to use it again.

As soon as you enter South Dakota you start seeing signs for Wall Drug, even though it’s 200 miles away.

We were hesitant about going but a man at a gas station told us it was the biggest drug store in the world. They even give you free signs to put up when you go back home. The hundreds of signs along the highway eventually won us over with their funny sayings and hand-painted art. We all left Wall Drug with about 20 bumper stickers and signs which are now scattered around our home towns.
